Ready to unwind in beautiful Portugal?

We’re all looking for a little piece and quiet, aren’t we? But while doing that, we want two very important things today: Safety & a marvellous Place to do it in.

In Portugal, with Lux&Unique, we offer the best of two worlds: all the special care and safety possible, in the most dazzling and “secret” areas. Here, you will truly enjoy the piece and quiet you are looking for.

The spots we have in mind? Here are 5 suggestions…

1. Praia do Portinho da Arrábida

A deep blue ocean contrasts with white sands in the hear of the magnificent and almost “savage” Serra da Arrábida.

It’s a quick travel from the capital Lisbon, in the comfort of a special transportation we’ll provide.

2. Praia Forte do Paço (Viana do Castelo)

Situated in the North of Portugal, between wooded areas, we discover a coastline of coves, dunes and secret beaches. Close to Viana do Castelo, Forte do Paço beach is one of the most beautiful in Minho. With wild relief dominated by the ruins of Fort do Paço, this small, quiet beach is protected from the wind.

From Viana de Castelo, it takes 25 minutes in the comfort of one of our selected transportation.

3. Praia da Ursa

Just over a kilometer from Cabo de Roca, praia da Ursa ( which literally means “Bear Beach”) owes its name to one of the rock formations that dominate it and whose shape reminds that of the bear. The colors of the raw rock, contrasting with the celadon blue and the sand, just golden. Unmissable.

To access Praia da Ursa it’s easiest going through Cabo da Roca, which is only 18 km from the center of Sintra. Another marvellous venue to visit, once the beach day is over.

4. Praia do Tonel (Zambujeira do Mar)

This option is for the most adventurous ones. Close to the fishing village of Zambujeira do Mar, this wild cove sheltered by the cliffs deserves all the superlatives. Crystalline and sublime turquoise water, rugged, striking relief… A small paradise protected from the crowds, for a good reason: the descent is made by abseiling, using a rope.

Prefer an early departure, which should guarantee you some peace until the end of the morning.

The way to the beach is on a dirt path/ road that goes west for 2 kilometers, until you reach the cliff. The descent of this cliff presents a high level of difficulty. But it’s all worth it once you get there…

5. Praia da Terra Estreita

This beach almost never appears in any guidebook or tourism plan: Praia da Terra Estreita is one of the quietest beaches in the Algarve. In the heart of the Rio Formosa Natural Park, on the island of Tavira, this beach holds a special position: about 2 kilometers from Praia de Tavira and Praia do Barril, it appears between the Ria Formosa and the blue of the Atlantic.

Transparent water, fine sand: everything is there. And it’s absolutely magnificent.

To get there, we need to get to a small fishing village of Santa Luzia, and go for a 10min boat trip. It’s very pleasant and a beautiful excuse to admire the scenery from an ocean point of view.

To top it all off, if you dream of spending one or more nights, after these amazing beach days, leave that to us: we have gorgeous options, with the seal “Clean&Safe” and all the comfort you need for a good night sleep after a long day under the sun and in the salty ocean water.
